Marks Group Wealth Management is an independent Registered Investment Advisory Firm with $1 billion in assets under management as of March, 2019 (brokerage and advisory assets). Our integrated services help us aim to optimize our clients’ financial well-being, wherever they may be in life.

Our portfolios

We offer clients exposure to six investment portfolios, each one fully liquid and actively managed so you can benefit from our economic perspectives and current market conditions.

Core Equity

A portfolio of mid- and large-cap individual stocks concentrating on high quality U.S. companies that are undervalued based on our proprietary criteria, and growing earnings at a significantly higher rate than the S&P 500.

International Equity

A non-U.S. equity portfolio comprised of country specific Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs) with exposure to both developed and emerging-market economies.

Tactical Equity

An absolute return portfolio of individual stocks with greater exposure to small- and mid-cap US companies and higher portfolio turnover. Designed to complement our Core Equity strategy.

Fixed Income

A laddered portfolio of high quality corporate and/or municipal bonds, prioritizing current income and capital preservation.

Equity Income

A focused portfolio of higher paying dividend securities that prioritizes both current income and long-term capital appreciation.

Mutual Fund

A portfolio of open-ended mutual funds selected using our proprietary screening process offering full diversification across all asset classes.

Personal & family finance

Second-opinion review

We’ll provide a thorough, objective assessment of your current investments. You’ll learn the amount of risk you’re really taking, the fees you’re actually paying, the quality of the investments you own, and any conflicts of interest that may exist.

Learn what you’re doing well and where you could do better.

Wealth management

Establishing goals is one thing. Having the discipline to achieve them is another. Our process-oriented approach and proactive client communication provide the structure you need to pursue financial confidence.

We share our perspectives and summarize performance regularly—in person and electronically—so you can stay as involved as you’d like in the journey toward your financial goals.

Financial planning

Whether your objectives include saving for retirement, buying a vacation home, growing your philanthropy or something else entirely, we’ll develop a tailored financial plan to guide your investments and help you pursue your goals.

Your financial plan will include a Monte Carlo analysis, which develops a wide range of possible outcomes and calculates the most likely scenario and the probability of success based off your goals.

Institutional services

Corporate retirement plans

As an independent Registered Investment Advisory firm, we’re not limited by any single 401(k) platform. We offer employers the full universe of plan possibilities. We also serve as our clients’ investment co-fiduciary partner, providing guidance to help their plans remain competitive and compliant as they serve their participants.

Private foundations / Non-profits

Private foundations and endowments represent approximately 25% of our advisory assets under management and are a growing focus of our business. We have a long-standing relationship with the Association of Small Foundations (ASF), where we have spoken on investment-related topics relevant to foundation trustees.

Getting started, made easy.

We’re dedicated to simplifying the complexities of investing.

Here’s what you can expect as we get started:

Listen & Learn

An initial meeting allows us to learn about you and share our approach to investment management. No costs. No commitments. Just a conversation.

Analyze & Plan

We proceed with a thorough and objective analysis of your current investments and prepare a consolidated summary of our findings. You’ll learn what you’re doing well and where you could do better relative to your stated needs and goals.

Next, we develop and present a financial plan tailored to help you seek to achieve those objectives. Financial planning can be done independently or as an additional resource to help you better understand the details of your financial future.

Agree & Transition

Once we agree on the best strategy and you formally engage Marks Group as your advisor, we facilitate the transfer of assets, ensuring every transition is as tax-efficient as possible. We’ll work directly with your accountant, attorney and other advisors as needed.

Implement & Support

We will reinvest your assets based on our agreed plan of action. Your advisor will also:

  • Immediately re-establish any automatic deposits or withdrawals tied to your bank
  • Show you how to access your Marks Group accounts online
  • Walk you through your new statement
  • Verify your paperless preferences for statements, etc.
  • Establish periodic review meetings
  • Maintain ongoing communication based on your preferences
Review & Update

In most cases, we will meet with you semi-annually to review your portfolio and address any new needs or changes. We typically update financial plans every few years, or when a significant life event occurs.
